Selina Kyle grew up in a financially unstable family which consisted of her, her mother, and her sister Maggie. Selina was an incredible gymnast, but her family was soon unable to afford her classes, so she quit. Shortly after, once Selina was a young teenager, her mother left her and Maggie on their own. Maggie was diagnosed with severe cystic fibrosis, which meant that her treatment cost a lot of money, and Selina had to enter a sketchy fighting ring to earn it. Witness Selina work past her issues and sacrifice everything along the way. Where love is found in places you would not expect, and it is more intense than expected. As a science fiction book combined with romance, it is very well portrayed.
