The Sledding Hill, written by Chris Crutcher, is a story about two friends who share a solid bond, but everything changes for our protagonist, Eddie Proffit, when his best friend, Billy Bartholomew, and his father die in weird incidents. After Billy Bartholomew's death, he attempted to assist his best buddy, Eddie Proffit, in putting his life back together. Eddie must put his life back together without his closest friend and father.
