It's a historical fiction book by author Ruta Sepetys about a young American photographer named Daniel. He goes to Spain to explore his family's Spanish heritage, capture its beauty as a photographer, and understand its politics under Franco's dictatorship, but soon meets a young Spanish girl named Ana who works at a hotel. They fall in love in 1950s Spain, which they must keep secret since Ana doesn’t want other people to know about it.
